The morning sun entered the room as I opened the curtains.
We took a hot spring bath in the room before our meal.
Breakfast is served in a private room in case of a special room.
(it is served in the restaurant with the standard plan)
Restaurant
A Japanese breakfast.
Fresh local eggs.
They are delicious when poured over hot rice and flavored with soy sauce, Tamago Kake Gohan (卵かけご飯).
Raw eggs are often served over rice at ryokans during breakfast, but this is safe because eggs in Japan undergo hygiene management for raw consumption.
We took a stroll down to Lake Biwa after our meal.
We arrived at the edge of the lake in five minutes.
The ryokan as seen from the edge of the lake.
In front of the ryokan is a flower garden.
We checked out at the front desk upon returning to the ryokan.
The staff saw us off.
We were taken to the nearest station, Ogotoonsen Station (おごと温泉駅).
Off to Kyoto Station (京都駅).
Our stay this time was one night, but thanks to the kind staff, we were able to relax and enjoy time in comfort.
We can go back to exerting ourselves again every day now that we have melted away our day-to-day fatigue in a hot spring bath, enjoyed traditional Japanese food, and freshened up both our body and soul.
If you come to Japan, please be sure to stay at a hot spring ryokan for an experience you can only find in Japan!٩( ´◡` )
