With 1,600 years of history, this ryokan is home to one of Japan’s oldest hot springs and a 3,300 square meter Japanese garden. 200 years ago, the landlord of this area established a job post to manage a hot spring for his private rest and relaxation area, which marks the start of this ryokan.
