(1) 45 minutes by JR Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka Station to Okayama Station, then one hour 10 minutes by JR Limited Express to Kotohira Station

(1) 20 minutes by JR Kobe Line from Osaka Station to Sannomiya Station, then one hour 30 minutes by bus to Kosoku (Express way) Naruto
(2) 45 minutes by bus from Takamatsu Airport to Takamatsu Station, then one hour by JR Limited Express to Ikenotani Station and 20-min JR Naruto Line ride to Naruto Station
(1) 30 minutes by bus from Kochi Ryoma Airport to Kochi Station, then one hour 45 minutes by JR Limited Express to Nakamura Station
(2) 45 minutes by JR Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka Station to Okayama Station, then two hours 40 minutes by JR Limited Express to Kochi Station and one hour 45-min JR Limited Express ride to Nakamura Station
The required times may slightly vary depending on the time of day.
The transportation means explained here are the ones that have more frequent services, and are thought to be most comonly used. We pirortized traveling by trains, but there can be various ways of transportations. For instance, in some cases, they have direct bus services. Also, in other cases, you may be able to get to the destinations a lot quicker by renting a car (Rentalcars.com) from the airport or from large cities.
(Driving on the snowy roads requires sophisticated driving skills to handle the snow coverage and avoid skidding.)
