Book Sekitaitei Ishida in Hirugami Onsen (Nagano)—— Seventeen Sukiya-zukuri guest rooms are set across expansive grounds. Every guest room overlooks the inner courtyard, and eight special guest rooms also feature open-air hot springs. The lobby has a Noh stage where traditional performing arts such as shamisen music, taiko drumming, and lion dancing are presented daily on a rotating program. Traditional Japanese dishes are served for both breakfast and dinner.

Access: Four hours by bus from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal to Igara, then 20 minutes by shuttle bus (Advance booking required)
