This ryokan was built upon the ruins of a 10,000 square meter Mori clan estate. It is located in a traditional building preservation district, in a warrior class estate area. The front gate and the external appearance are both traditionally Japanese, but one step inside the property reveals an English garden and a building with Western architecture intertwined.
