Book Izanro Iwasaki in Misasa Onsen (Tottori) — Tracing its roots back to antiquity, this historical hot spring ryokan has always been a favorite of the Royal family and famous intellectual Japanese poet-painters (bunjin) of yore. It has a Japanese garden and tea ceremony room, and has hosted many members of the Imperial Family and authors. With 800 years of history, the hot spring contains 702 maches of radon, making it rare on a global scale.
Access: 45 minutes by bus from Tottori Sakyu Conan Airport to Kurayoshi Station, then 20 minutes by shuttle bus (Advance booking required)

Hot spring resort – Misasa
With 800 years of history, this hot spring is known as one of the world’s best radium hot springs. The rate of death from cancer of the nearby residents is half of the national average. The water is good for skin beautification, fatigue, nervous disorders, etc. This area was approved as the filming spot for the sequel of the Korean drama “Iris.”
