Book Jukeiso in Miyajima Onsen (Hiroshima)―― Jukeiso is a ryokan situated on a hill facing the World Heritage Site of Itsukushima Shrine. Divided into five types, all the 13 rooms command a nice view of Miyajima including the Grand Torii (Shinto shrine gate) “floating” on the Seto Inland Sea, Itsukushima Shrine, the Five-storied Pagoda and Senjokaku (lit. “pavilion of 1000 mats”). The rental open-air scenic view bath, located outside the rooms for private use, offers a stunning night scene of the illuminated Miyajima. As to dining, Jukeiso serves authentic Japanese food making use of ingredients such as oysters, a specialty of Hiroshima. Although baths in this ryokan use heated water instead of hot spring water, Jukeiso is very popular for its delightful outlook of Miyajima, the island where the World Heritage Site of Itsukushima Shrine is located.
