Okuhita Onsen Umehibiki

Book Umehibiki in Okuhita Onsen (Oita)—— This hidden ryokan, facing the beautiful scenery of the Hibiki Valley which resembles a shan shui painting, opened in 2017. Guests can enjoy spectacular views of nature from the rooms detached from the main building and other rooms with private open-air onsen baths. The surrounding area is famous for its plum blossoms, and the ryokan with a “Plum Wine Brewery” attached to it and plum-themed interior environments allows its guests to experience a unique atmosphere. Dishes based on Japanese cuisine are offered at dinner and breakfast, and a wide variety of famous plum wines are also available.

Access: One hour 15 minutes by JR Limited Express from Hakata Station to Hita Station, then 25 minutes by shuttle bus (Advance booking required)
