Book Onsen Sanso Daikon no Hana in Togatta Miyagi Zao Onsen (Miyagi)―― Located at the foot of Mount Zao, this onsen ryokan lies nestled in a natural forest with an area of larger than 30,000 square metres. All 18 guest rooms are detached buildings, and 14 of them come with open-air hot spring baths facing the forest. The gender-segregated large public baths and 4 rental open-air baths also command a scenic view of nature. Japanese dishes making use of fresh vegetables grown at the ryokan’s own farm and other local farms are served in semi-private dining rooms for both breakfast and dinner.

Access: 25 minutes by Sendai Airport Line/JR Tohoku Main Line from Sendai Airport to Sendai Station, then one hour by bus to Togatta Onsen and 2-min taxi ride from there
