Book Oyado Tamaki in Ikaho Onsen (Gunma)—— It is a purely Japanese-style ryokan where all hallways are covered in tatami mats. You can enjoy a gorgeous view of the mountains from the guest rooms on the top floor, which have their own private open-air baths. The large public baths have “golden” and “silver” baths, representing the two typical spring qualities at Ikaho Onsen.
Access: Two hours 40 minutes by bus from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku) to Ikaho Ishidangai, then 1 minutes on foot
