Book Tsuruya in Awara Onsen (Fukui)—— Built in the traditional architectural style of sukiya-zukuri, this Japanese-style onsen ryokan’s two-storied building has 23 guest rooms. It has three spring sources in the ryokan’s grounds, and offers gender-segregated large public baths with open-air baths, a rental onsen outside the rooms for private use, and footbaths. As for dining, the ryokan provides kaiseki meals, of which even the eating utensils are selected with great care. Guests can enjoy the kaiseki meals in their own rooms.
