Book Yamamizuki in Kurokawa Onsen (Kumamoto)—— This ryokan is located near a river at some distance from Kurokawa Onsen’s hot spring town, in the heart of nature’s bounty. Each of the 21 guest rooms is different from one another in terms of layout and design, with 8 rooms providing private semi-open-air baths. Soaking in the open-air hot spring next to the river allows you to enjoy onsen and the seasonal beauty of the outdoors at the same time.
Access: Two hours 20 minutes by bus from Fukuoka Airport to Kurokawa Onsen Bus Station, then 5 minutes by shuttle bus (Advance booking required)
