Book Yukemuri no Yado Inazumi Onsen in Akinomiya Onsen (Akita)―― A hidden retreat nestled at the foot of Mt. Kurikoma, renowned for its autumn foliage. The ryokan offers a variety of guest room types, including ones with private hot springs. Notably, the four detached accommodations named “Ten no Za” were designed by a renowned architect and feature open-air hot springs and indoor cypress wood baths. The facility includes large gender-segregated baths and two private open-air hot springs. Dinner features traditional Japanese kaiseki dining that incorporates seasonal ingredients from Akita, while breakfast also offers traditional Japanese dishes.
Access: 15 minutes by JR Tohoku Shinkansen from Sendai Station to Furukawa Station, then 45 minutes by JR Riku East Line to Naruko-Onsen Station and 40-min shuttle bus ride from there (Advance booking required)
