Book Onyado Yui no Sho in Shirakawa-go Hida Takayama Onsen (Gifu)—— Opened in March 2019, it is an onsen ryokan located close to the famous Word Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go’s historic villages. With an entrance that resembles Shirakawa-go’s distinctive architectural style known as “gassho-zukuri” and a timber-framed building, you can enjoy the atmosphere of Shirakawa-go while staying at this ryokan. There are two types of onsen here, including a gender-segregated large public bath (with open-air bath) and two rental baths outside the rooms for private use.
Access: Two hours 30 minute by JR Limited Express from Nagoya Station to Takayama Station, then 50 minute by bus to Shirakawa-go Bus Terminal (advance booking required) and 10-min shuttle bus ride from there
