Book Kukuna in Mt. Fuji Lake Kawaguchi Onsen (Yamanashi)—— Kukuna is a resort-style ryokan that commands a magnificent view of Mount Fuji with Lake Kawaguchi in between. The scenery can be seen from the gender-segregated large public baths (with open-air baths). Guests staying at rooms equipped with private open-air onsen baths can get the great view all to themselves. There are cherry trees right in front of the ryokan, so you can also enjoy looking at the cherry blossoms (sakura) in the sakura season. As to dining, you can choose from multiple plans including teppanyaki and buffet.
Access: One hour 45 minutes by bus from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku) to Kawaguchiko Station, then 5 minutes by shuttle bus from there (shuttle service runs from 3 pm to 7 pm every day)
