All suites have a hot spring bath with a scenic view and are over 50㎡ in size.
The inn’s concept is a sanctuary for adults where you can feel a sense of the extraordinary, which begins with the unique entryway.
The lounge and other areas of the inn are stylishly unified.
A draft beer is served as the welcome drink!
The room I stayed in was a standard suite with a hot spring bath and a view.
The hot spring was near the back of the room.
Noboribetsu’s white sulfur spring water overflows from the bathtub.
Even though it’s an indoor bath, it’s nice to use because the window can be opened to let in fresh air, making it feel like an open-air bath. You can also close the window to keep warm while washing up.
There is also a large open-air bath, so you can enjoy hot springs outside of your room too.
Japanese-western kaiseki cuisine meals are served in a private room.
The aesthetically appealing and inventive dishes are served one at a time.
Dessert and coffee.
We went into our hot spring to warm up after returning to our room to relax, and then to bed. The great thing about having a hot spring in your room is that you can use it whenever you want.
The snowy nighttime scenery was lovely.
The next morning, some snow had fallen.
Large icicles formed outside the window of the hot spring in our room.
The breakfast was gorgeous and included shabu-shabu.
Dessert and coffee.
Check-out was at noon, so after breakfast, we decided to go for a walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley) in our spare time.
While walking out the front door, we saw a deer!
It takes about 20 minutes to get to Jigokudani when taking a stroll along the snow-covered paths.
In 10 minutes, you’ll arrive at the hot spring resort town.
Another 10 minutes later, you’ll reach Jigokudani.
There is a well-maintained walking trail that takes about 30 minutes round trip if you walk at a leisurely pace to the geyser and back.
As steam rises from the snowy landscape, you can feel nature’s energy.
After returning to the inn and checking-out, we headed back to Tokyo via New Chitose Airport and ended our trip.
From Noboribetsu Onsen, it only takes about an hour by bus to get to New Chitose Airport, the gateway to Hokkaido, there’re many high-class hot spring inns and you can have enjoyable experiences including Jigokudani, so please visit Noboribetsu Onsen for a stay!
