Kirishima Onsen

Kirishima Onsen is a group of hot springs scattering along the hillside of Mount Kirishima in Kagoshima. It is 30-minute car ride from the Kagoshima Airport.
It boasts a large volume of water discharge and a wide variety of different types of hot spring. Steam coming out from the hot spring town is a gripping scene.
Situated high above sea level, Kirishima Onsen offers commanding views. You can get a bird’s-eye view of the Kinko Bay and Sakurajima from the guest rooms and open-air baths at many ryokans here.
By a 20-minute car ride, you can also go to the Ebino Plateau, where you can enjoy hiking and mountain climbing at the ridged terrain of Mount Kirishima.
